Privacy Policy

This policy describes how KANITABETAI, LLC ("we", "us") handles information in the Shopify app "Discount Spotlight" (the "App").

1. Information we collect

When a store ("merchant") installs the App, we collect the following through the Shopify API:

The store's domain
Shopify API access tokens
Discount information (title, code, value, targeted product/variant/collection IDs, dates, status)
IDs of products in collections targeted by discounts
App settings
The status of the App subscription

The App does not collect or store personal information of customers (shoppers), such as names, email addresses, addresses or orders. It does not access order or customer data.

2. How we use information

We use this information only to display discounts on product pages and product listings, and to bill the App subscription through Shopify's app billing. We do not use it for advertising, sell it, or share it with third parties.

3. Storefront behavior

The script shown on the storefront runs in the shopper's browser and uses no cookies, analytics or tracking. To speed up product listings it may temporarily keep product prices in the browser's sessionStorage (cleared when the tab is closed). The storefront does not send any requests to our servers.

4. Storage and sub-processors

Information is stored and processed on Cloudflare, Inc. services (Cloudflare Workers, D1). Data used to display discounts is stored in Shopify app metafields.

5. Retention and deletion

We keep information while the App is installed. Access tokens are removed when the App is uninstalled, and the store's data is deleted when we receive Shopify's shop/redact request (48 hours after uninstall).

6. Security

All traffic is encrypted with HTTPS, and requests from Shopify are verified (HMAC signatures and session tokens). Access tokens are kept on our servers only and are never exposed to the storefront.

7. Your rights

Merchants may request access to or deletion of the information we hold about their store by contacting us below.

8. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page.
